In honor of yesterday’s Military Spouse Appreciation Day, Household 6 Diva and Riding the Roller Coaster are hosting a Blog Hop. Bloggers create a ‘party post’ to introduce themselves and their blog as sort of a virtual meet and greet. If you’d like to participate, head on over to either of their blogs by Sunday for instructions. Even if you don’t want to add your blog, check it out if you’re looking for new blogs to read. With over 150 blogs to choose from, there is sure to be something for everyone.

Now, on to my introduction post: For those who don’t already know me, my name is Amanda. My husband, Tim, is a medic in the army, and we are currently stationed in Germany. He got the orders to come here two months after we were married, which happened to be the month after I had moved from FL up to GA. Three months from that, we were here with our two dogs Gir and Apollo and ready for the adventures awaiting us.

We’ve been here about six months now and been married almost a year, and it’s crazy how fast the time has gone. In fact, I haven’t quite been able to keep up with it. When I thought of this blog, I originally planned to start it once we got to Germany. But, the moving process was so involved that I decided to include posts about the moving process as well. Due to writing and adding those, getting settled here, exploring our new city, and so on, I started a little behind present events and I still am. Hopefully that doesn’t take away from anyone’s enjoyment in reading about them. I do plan to catch up in the near-ish future.

I know people sometimes like to put faces to names, so here are a few pictures:

This is me before my wedding.

My husband doesn’t generally like me to put pictures of him on my blog, but he approved this one of us during our wedding ceremony for a previous post so this is the best I can do for now.

This is our Pembroke Welsh Corgi, Gir. I had her for a couple years before I met my husband. She’s a little plumper now because Tim’s been spoiling her too much.

This is our Miniature Pinscher, Apollo, curled up on a laundry pile. We got him a couple days after we got married.

Thanks for stopping by, and I hope you’ll continue to join me on my Overseas Adventures. Feel free to share your thoughts and own experiences in the comments.
